Smallworld NRM
NRM Wastewater
The Wastewater Module forms the basis for the efficient documentation of complex sewer networks for integrated urban drainage management in accordance with DIN EN 752. Integrated tools support the high-quality and efficient capture of data within this sewer information system.
Day-to-day planning tasks are also optimally supported by the complete topological integration of planned network sections. Last but not least, the module serves as a vital foundation for operational management processes, whether for spatial orientation, data retrieval or as a decision-making aid in rehabilitation management.
Network Logic and Data Model
The Smallworld standard module ‘NRM Kanal’ provides a comprehensive data and functional model for drainage networks. It maps the wastewater route from the connection points to the treatment plant. The data model is based on the requirements of the relevant EN, DIN and DWA standards and regulations for drainage systems outside buildings.
The topology model supports the classification of network construction status as ‘planned’, ‘under construction’, ‘in operation’ and ‘decommissioned’, as well as the classification of wastewater types as rainwater, sewage and combined sewer water.
The specialised drainage methods of pressure drainage and vacuum drainage are supported by the Pressure Drainage Systems add-on module.
The Sewer module integrates seamlessly into a multi-utility environment alongside the other standard Smallworld modules.
Maps and Representsations
The drainage systems are depicted in accordance with DIN 2425 for the overview plan, the as-built plan and the longitudinal section. The Pressure Drainage Systems module also enables the internal structure of special structures to be depicted. In addition, 3D capability is provided through the capture of 3D points for equipment and the resulting longitudinal section.
Digital twin
The aim of a sewer information system is to map drainage systems as a complete network model within a GIS, whilst making intelligent use of condition data and measurement values for planning and operational processes. With the product portfolio centred around the Sewer Module, you pave the way for improved data quality, process support and, ultimately, a true digital twin of the sewer network within the GIS – as illustrated here by the example of an overflow basin.
