Trafo 89
The ITS Trafo 89 product is used to convert coordinates in the Smallworld GIS databases to the ETRS89 reference frame, by linking to external official transformation programmes provided by the land registry.
The switch by cadastral authorities in Germany to the new official reference system ETRS89 from 2009 onwards also has far-reaching implications for the data sets of users of this geobasis information. The asset data sets of energy supply companies must be converted using the same procedures. TRAFO89 supports the entire conversion process by integrating external transformation programmes and without the need for complex migration.
